Today is the big day~! X3

Today is the day when it all started, five years ago. :D

VK is now 5, and this gives me adorable kindergarten-vampires mind images. XD *lol*

I've been running all over the place lately, and was so out of time that I couldn't even start on my plan of drawing tons of adorable 5 years old VK characters doing cute kindergarten stuff since VK being 5 makes me think of the characters being that age too... XD; *lol* (Cross Academy... an elite boarding kindergarten, hahaha~ XD♥)

 

Just in case you missed my previous post on the subject (I'm so sorry I didn't have time yet to reply to the comments yet, btw! D:), the five years anniversary celebration is a fan-celebration, not-affiliated in any way with the author or the magazine etc., and not official. ^^/
There's no official celebrations for the five years, but the fandom can celebrate on and on our love for VK~! X3 ♥


I've seen some wonderful things for the VK anniversary, even before the date~! X3 *is delighted by the beautiful things born from the fans' dedication and love for the series~*♥♥♥


I was thinking of making a little list of the things everbody is doing for the anniversary celebration, so that you can find it all reunited in a same location, but the lack of time made that I couldn't go yet browse through some of the things people said they'd be drawing/ writing/ etc. yet, and so for now the list is rather bare. ^^;
If you drew a fanart, wrote a fic, made an AMV or anything like that for the VK anniversary and would like your fanwork to be listed, please let me know via the comments in this post and I'll happily add yours to the list~! ♥ \^__^/

And for now, the anniversary fanworks I saw so far: ♔ kuromai drew an AMAZING color pic of the main trio, along with an adorable doujinshi page also featuring them. X3 ♥ Which you can see this way. *adores the art* X3 ♥ ♕ denticity wrote two fics, one about Ichijou/Shiki/Rima, and another about Zero/Kaname, and you can find links etc. to both here. :D *fangirls so much, clings to the lovely Z/K fic, adores that pairing* X333 ♥ ♔ Blackened Wing posted in her blog a translation of one of the stories from the first VK novel~! :D They translated the first story of the novel from Japanese to Spanish and then from Spanish to English, so the final result might not be the quite the same as the original, but if you're interested in knowing more about the Aidou & Fuuka story, definitely go check it out~ :D

If you'd like, you can always drop a link to your fanwork (whether it be on LJ, DA, FFnet, anywhere in the comments, if you'd like to have it in this post~! :D ♥

If you do, please make sure to post it as links and not as pics that will automatically load in the comments, and please put warnings if the pic or fic etc. has a rating other than G, so that people know before they click. :D


THE ONLY RULES TO PARTICIPATE ARE:
1) No bashing or expression of hatred whatsoever towards other fans or any of the characters.
Celebrating is about love, no hatred. Fandom is for enjoyment and love of the character(s)/series/etc. you enjoy. ^^/ Hatred has no place in fandom, ever.
2) NO ART THEFT. Please only submit if your pic is not traced or copied in any way, nor stolen from another artist. ^^;
Manga colorings are fine if you acknowledge that it's not your art, just your coloring. But it's not okay to steal a pic and then go "this is my pic" when in truth it's all traced/copied/chunks from other things", since then it's not really your own pic. ^^;
Same for fics copied from other authors, of course. It's not allowed with fics either. ^^;

But if there's no hatred in the pic and no theft of art/fic/anything, then YAY~! X3 *is so so so looking forward to seeing everybody's celebration things. X3 ♥

Don't forget, if you don't draw, don't write etc., you still can celebrate just as much, by doing other fan things~! ^__^/
Like baking a cake and dedicating it to VK with any VK-related decoration or anything, or posting pics of your cosplay, or tellings us a lovely anecdote about how much you love VK, or how you discovered it, and all that~! X3 (I'd been meaning to make posts like that for us to talk about VK stuff throughout the week, but apparently I'll just have time to post here anyway. XD;;; orz *lack of enough time* XD;;


I have quite a few thingies I want to do for the anniversary week too, though I'm not sure yet how many will actually become real, due to being somewhat swamped, currently. ^^;
But we'll see~! X3 ♥

I've been trying to figure out how to do a particular thing for game I've been meaning to make too, but coding difficulties were giving me trouble, so for now the game is stalling. ^^;
(Basically, it's a first-person-shooter game, where you play as Zero using the Bloody Rose, but the game coding for now can't differentiate the enemies from the good vampires, so it's not working for now. XD;; *is trying to figure out how to make it so that you have to shoot the levels E's but not shoot, say, Yuuki if she pops up, or others. XD;;;;)

So yeah, I'm not sure if the game will be possible. But whether I can make that one or not, I'll be posting piccies and other stuff, throughout this week and afterwards if I'm late to make it within the week. X3

I'm SO looking forward to the various fanworks that everybody else is working on. X3 ♥
Seeing everybody's love for the series we love is so heartwarming~! ♥ ♥ ♥
I get so disheartened by all the character and pairing bashing that happens in the fandom, and as a result, my fandom-spirit survives with the lovely proofs of love for the series and the characters done by the peaceful fans. XD;;
So seeing love for the series and the characters really makes me bouncy-happy. X3 ♥ 



So, happy anniversary, everybody~! \^___^/
May VK live many more years, and may there be lots of fun and love for the series ahead for us all~! ♥♥♥



And since it's the anniversary post, how about we talk about VK~? X3 ♥

I'd love to hear how you plan to celebrate the anniversary (various people said they'd be re-reading the series or re-reading some of their favorite spots to celebrate, others said they'd cosplay, or draw/write/etc. and so on :D), and would also love to hear how you discovered the series, or what scene made you love either vK as a whole or a particular character, and so on. :D
(Please no tales of any scene that made you dislike any of the characters, let's focus on the love. XD;)

*will be telling her story of how she got into VK as well too, as soon as she has a bit more time, has to run off now and get back to stuff* XD;; *lol*
